The GetDown

The GetDown draws inspiration for her discerning eclectic DJ style from all music genres, as well as the talented group of musicians and DJs she’s been mentored by. She developed deep roots in the San Francisco underground music scene in the mid to late 90s, and early 2000s. She was encouraged to start mixing by the STiRTy DJ Collective. The GetDown has performed at numerous events and clubs in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. Burning Man has significantly influenced The GetDown. Curiosity and wonder in discovering the sounds, musical talent, and realized imagination around each corner. She continues to explore and challenge herself to create, reveling in the process. She loves being in a flow state when mixing, while making the crowd get down with The GetDown. Interweaving house, techno, tech-house, and breaks, her unique sounds are ever-evolving.
