My ceramic adornment pieces, “Spirit Bakes” celebrate the magic of materiality, and seek to enchant the essential relationship between earth and body. Through an instinctual use of design and construction, my Spirt Bakes’ strive to evoke a sense of balance, wholeness, power, protection, and play. My hope is that folks feel such ways when they wear my pendants, and thus feel more connected to themselves, their environment, and the spiralic dance of life.
I’m Lily Rose, a Joshua Tree Local, and the creator of Spirit Bakes. I am grateful to be living and making art in this desert. And for the inspiration that this land and community bring to my life, and to my art.
