Megan has independently sold over 40,000 copies of her five self-released albums and has just released her brand new album, California & Other Stories. The new album, co-produced with Nashville Producer Alex Wong (Vienna Teng, Delta Rae), showcases new sides of Megan’s music, balancing delightfully belligerent rock and roll with lush cinematic soundscapes of orchestral instruments and robot harmonies. Her songwriting has received national and international recognition: she was a finalist in 2020 in the International Songwriting Competition, a finalist in 2019 for both the USA Songwriting Contest and the International Acoustic Music Awards, and a 2018 finalist in the ISC. Megan won first place in the 2017 Unsigned Only Music Competition (AAA Category) for a punk song she wrote, record, and performed herself in her own kitchen. Megan’s adventures have also included touring with Dire Straits co-founder David Knopfler throughout Europe, duets with Pat Monahan and Train, co-writing and performing on a song for KFOG’s Breast Cancer Research charity drive (featuring featured guest singers Hozier, Florence Welch, Steve Earle, Grace Potter and more,) playing electric guitar on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and singing the National Anthem at AT&T Park for the San Francisco Giants on five separate occasions. She performed here at the JTMF site at Steve Poltz’ inaugural Bahootenzie Folkfest in May 2022, and we are thrilled to have her rock the JTMF stage in ’23.
