Jonathan Isaacs: The Power of Silence

Learning breath techniques saved my life. A combination of allergies and smog had me in emergency rooms, often weekly, for the first many years after birth. My family found the help of a wise medical doctor who had also been trained in yoga and meditation and they incorporated this knowledge into my care. I learned the relaxation response, four-part breathing and meditation at age 5. I lived for one year with my doctor while studying at UCLA. Eventually I studied yoga formally and have taught since 2001 in California, New York and Italy. I’ve led more than a dozen yoga teacher certification training sessions. Currently resides in Oakland and operates Mindscape Coaching. I love the Joshua Tree community and am super excited to share this art with such a beautiful community.
