Alyssa is a group facilitator, yoga teacher, dancer, and musician dedicated to helping others tune in to their “essential instrument” through movement, breath, rhythm, and ensemble connection. As a yoga teacher, Alyssa is known for her fluid sequencing, precise verbal cues, and heartfelt presence. She has been teaching locally and internationally for 22 years and has become one of the Bay Area’s most loved teachers. In 2006, Alyssa founded BODY OF SOUND integrating the audience/performer relationship to create an interactive, rhythmic, ensemble experience. Body of Sound: Rhythm, Voice & Movement (Sunday): Body of Sound is a journey into rhythm, voice and movement to explore the body as our most essential instrument. We draw from a variety of modalities such as Body Percussion, Dance, Yoga, Meditation, Improvisation, Circle Song and Chant Practices. This rhythmic adventure allows discovery and freedom through creative expression that lends itself to every aspect of your life. As you tune your own instrument, you become attuned to the ensemble around you everywhere and your place within it.
