Please come join us for “Double A Crochet” at the famous Joshua Tree Music Festival on Saturday May 17th from 12-2pm at the Nowhere Found Lounge!
We are Alyce Herrera and Andal Lopez, two proud Hi-Desert locals and accomplished fiber artists who would love to share our art of crafting and upcycling with you.
Upcycling common materials is our medium of choice. Let us guide you to new ways of looking at old discarded clothing and bed linens. We will demonstrate to you how to transform those materials into yarn that you can crochet into an array of beautiful pieces you can use everyday.
In this workshop we will teach you the basics of crochet including: making a slipknot, crochet a chain, single crochet and double crochet.We will show you how a basic square swatch can transform into countless other pieces like sweaters, hats, purses, pillows, rugs… really anything you can imagine! We hope to see you at “Double A Crochet Workshop” where we can enjoy mind blowing music and craft with each other in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
