Flowbox began as all great things do: as just a dream. In 2010, a small collective of unconventional youth started gathering in the park to practice dance, acrobatics and object manipulation together. They dreamed of creating a circus troupe to share their skills.
Founder Jenna H2O took a bold step toward turning the dream into reality by renting a warehouse space in Palm Springs dubbed “The Flowbox.” The goal was to create a fun, healthy, inclusive community space for learning and performing. Soon after, Chelsea Sphere joined and worked tirelessly alongside Jenna to train. Both passionately believed in the power of meaningful storytelling through movement, and its ability to transcend language and culture.
Though the beginnings were humble, Flowbox has grown into a thriving business! They offer a wide variety of specialty entertainment featuring top-notch performance artists from all over southern California. Flowbox has been performing here at Joshua Tree Music Festival since 2012 – always with the mission to make the world better through art.
