Lorka is a dream-folk loop artist, harpist & multi-instrumental songwriter. Her music has been described as medicinal, intimate & other-worldly. Drawing from her own post-war experience as the daughter of refugees, Lorka explores themes of memory, belonging and wholeness through music. Weaving haunting melodies with ethereal vocals she blends patient nostalgia with soft potency. Lullabies to wake us. Lorka is based in Oregon and has been performing as Lorka & the Echo Orchestra since 2019, after a previous decade as a folk artist. She recently returned from working on a new album in rural Iceland, and has performed at Spirit Weavers Gathering, Imagine Music & Arts Festival, Solaura Festival as well as dozens of intimate, grassroots venues and creative spaces.
