Original member of Ghost-Note, Nick Werth serves up hip hop-inspired beats with his solo project, Galaxe. What makes this unique is that he does it all live while treating midi mallet percussion like an MPC. A psychedelic pairing of Jazz Vibraphone and Boom Bap. Galaxe’s production style draws from many influences including J Dilla, Flying Lotus, the Fibonacci sequence, Fractal Theory, windows within windows, and the lush landscapes of the PacNW. Nick has performed at JTMF numerous times, with Scott Pemberton, Yak Attack and Galaxe. Probably listening to Kiefer or Tony Baker animal voiceovers currently.
