If you are re-selling your tickets or purchasing from a 3rd party, please beware ticket scammers. JTMF will not honor counterfeit tickets. We highly recommend going through our official re-sale partner cashortrade.org. You can read more below under ‘Reselling Tickets’.

FESTIVAL TICKETS

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TICKET TIERS? All of our ticket tiers are identical and just differentiated by price. The earlier you purchase your tickets, the better deal you get!

WHAT IS THE SUPER SUPPORTER PACKAGE? The Super Supporter Package is special offering for our JTMF Super Supporters who would like to support the festival at the highest level. There are only 50 available, package includes early entry, dinner & a drink on Thursday night and our endless gratitude.

ARE SINGLE DAY TICKETS AVAILABLE? Yes! Single day tickets are available. But we do hope (and highly recommend) you’re able to join us for the entire four days 🙂

ARE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE GATE? Tickets are available at the gate as long as they are not sold out. You can check the event ticket page for current status before you drive to the event site. Vehicle Camping passes are limited, advance purchase is highly recommended. Plus you will always pay less by purchasing your tickets in advance. Needless to say, we highly recommend purchasing all your tickets in advance!

DO TICKETS INCLUDE CAMPING? All tickets include walk in tent camping (meaning you can park in day parking and walk your gear into the campground, no driving in and dropping off). Single day tickets include overnight camping until 10am the next day. If you wish to have a vehicle with you in the campground please purchase the appropriate vehicle camping pass. If you will be parking in the day parking lot, you will need to purchase a day parking pass.

WHAT ABOUT RE-ENTRY? Once you have your festival wristband, and your vehicle has the all-weekend in-and-out pass, you can come and go from the festival site as you please.

DO I NEED A TICKET FOR MY CHILD IF THEY’RE FREE? Yes. Every attendee needs a ticket. If your child qualifies for a free kids ticket, please add that ticket to your check out. It helps us have an accurate count and also lets you assign emergency contact information!

DO I NEED AN EARLY ENTRY PASS FOR MY CHILD? Humans 17 years and under must be accompanied by an adult/ guardian and do not need an early entry pass.

VEHICLE PASSES

DO I NEED A VEHICLE PASS? If you are planning to have your vehicle (car, RV, van, motorbike) at the festival, then yes you need a vehicle pass. The types of vehicle passes are outlined below. Please DO NOT plan to park on the road, it is illegal, it can get us in trouble, and your vehicle is at risk of being towed.

VEHICLE CAMPING PASSES: If you are planning to have your car, motorcycle, RV, trailer or any other vehicle in the campground you will require a Vehicle Camping Pass. They are categorized by length, under 20′ and 20′ and over. If you are towing a trailer, your vehicle length should include the trailer plus your tow vehicle. Vehicle Camping Passes are limited, we highly recommend purchasing in advance if you know you’ll need one.

DAY PARKING PASSES: Single Day and Weekend (all four days) parking passes are available if you plan to park your vehicle in our Day Parking lot. It is a short walk to the campground. Camping/sleeping in the Day Lot is NOT permitted, you will be asked to upgrade your vehicle pass and move to the campground.

DO VEHICLE PASSES INCLUDE RE-ENTRY? Yes, you can come and go from the festival site as you please.

TICKETING FAQ

WHERE DO I USE MY PROMO CODE? Promo codes can be used on the relevant ticket page. Make sure you enter your promo code first to reveal promo ticket or promo pricing.

CAN I PAY IN INSTALLMENTS? Yes. You can choose to pay for your order in four installments with PayPal Pay Later. When you check out, select INSTALLMENT PLANS then PAY LATER and follow the prompts. You will need to have a PayPal account to use this option.

HOW DO I WIN TICKETS? Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages and follow the music artists’ pages too for lots of chances to win, and make sure you’re signed up for our email newsletter for exclusive giveaways!

HOW DO I VIEW MY TICKETS?: You should have received a confirmation email from support@aftontickets.com. You can also login at aftontickets.com to access your tickets at any time.

HOW DO I TRANSFER MY TICKETS?: If you wish to transfer your tickets to someone else just follow these easy instructions.

REWARDS PROGRAM

New for 2024, our rewards program is a win-win. You get cash back when your friends purchase with your unique link, and we get to meet your friends!

Your unique link is automatically sent to you when you complete your purchase (it will show up on the confirmation screen, and also be emailed to you). Share this link with your friends, each time someone purchases using your link you get cash back.
*All orders $215 and over are eligible for the Rewards Program. Guest will receive $5 cash back per order (of at least $215) made using their link. Guests may receive a maximum credit of 25% of the face value of their original order. Rewards are credited back to the original payment method within two weeks after the festival.

RESELLING TICKETS

Conducting a ticket exchange with an unknown 3rd party is always a gamble, showing up and realizing you have counterfeit tickets is no fun for anyone!

If you can no longer make it, you can sell and transfer your tickets to another party. We highly recommend going through our official re-sale partner cashortrade.org.

If you are purchasing tickets from a 3rd party, we highly recommend doing so through our official re-sale partner cashortrade.org.

Tickets are sold on CashorTrade at face value (or below), they are verified, your transactions are secure and you are backed by a 100% money back guarantee.

If you choose to conduct a transaction directly with a 3rd party, you are responsible for making sure the buyer/seller is legit. Do your research before money changes hands. We cannot help you after money changes hands and can not honor counterfeit tickets or assist you in getting a refund.. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Make sure tickets are for the right event, make sure they are actually through our ticket provider Afton tickets.

ROLLOVERS, REFUNDS, TRANSFERS

CAN I ROLLOVER MY TICKETS IF I DON’T USE THEM: Joshua Tree Music Festival cannot accept responsibility for unused tickets. Tickets are considered forfeited if not used/redeemed at the event they were purchased for. We may consider rollovers under extenuating circumstances, an admin fee may apply, please contact us. If you cannot use your ticket, you may transfer it to a fellow super awesome human, see TRANSFERS below.

REFUNDS: Tickets are non-refundable. We may make exceptions under extenuating circumstances. In the case of refunds, ticket fees remain non-refundable. Joshua Tree Music Festival accepts no responsibility for unused tickets. If you cannot use your ticket, you may transfer it to a fellow super awesome human, see TRANSFERS below.

TRANSFERS: Yes, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. You can find instructions on how to do this here. Please include the recipient’s full name and email address for the ticket to be valid and make sure to send them the email confirmation.

LOW-INCOME TICKETS

The diversity of our Joshua Tree Music Festival community is one of the things that makes it so special, and this includes financial diversity. We work hard to keep ticket prices reasonable and still deliver a magical experience for you all. Literally everything is more expensive than it was two years ago, (we’re sure you’ve noticed!) and the cost of producing this event has increased significantly. If you can afford to pay full price, please do. If you can’t, don’t let that keep us apart. Read on for some ways to get your festival experience on different budgets.

  • Our early bird tickets are much less expensive. To make sure you hear when they drop for our next events, sign up for our email list, and/or follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Keep an eye out for ticket giveaways, with artists, local community partners and on our own social media pages.
  • Join our Work Exchange program. Hundreds of volunteers contribute their time to the festival, get involved with the festival on a deeper level, join our wonderful Work Exchange Community, and earn a free ticket (and other perks). Find out more.
  • To keep our event accessible to families we have kids and juniors pricing for both 4 Day and Single Day passes. Littles 4 and under are always free!
  • If you can afford the tickets, we ask that you please pay full price – the overhead for this event is enormous and the majority needs to be paid in advance. If you are low-income and the cost is a stretch, then please accept this coupon code: OPENHEART for 20% off your ticket*. There is a very limited allocation of discounted tickets available for each festival. We rely on the honesty and generosity of our community to make this work, please only use it if you need it.

LOCALS TICKETS

Locals. We see you, we love you, we appreciate you! Desert locals make up a huge part of our festival community. We hope you understand, the overhead for producing this event is enormous and we simply cannot afford to offer a significant discount to a such a large group of our attendees. If you are low-income, please see our information above. Locals, read on for some ways to score a discounted, or free, festival ticket.

LOCAL’S WORK EXCHANGE

Got a little time to give but still want to enjoy the festival. We offer Locals the option to help out for 2 x 4 hour shifts during the festival, in exchange, you’ll receive a 20% discount off your 4 Day Festival ticket. 

There are a limited number of Locals Work Exchange spots, as they are dependent on the needs of the festival. Shifts will be assigned from the following areas: Gates, Flowmaster, and Green Team. LOCAL’S WORK PARTIES

A limited number of positions are available at our Local’s Work Parties which happen in the months and weeks leading up to each festival. Work Parties are suited to locals who can conveniently travel to and from the site for a day of work. Tasks could involve yard work, construction work and manual labor. Please be mindful when signing up in this area that this is PHYSICALLY DEMANDING – be prepared to lift, dig, rake, shovel and stay in motion for your entire shift. If you have an injury or condition which limits you to light duty work, consider one of our many areas or contact us to find the right area for you.

Options:

  • 8 hours for a discounted 4 Day Festival Pass (20%)
  • 20 hours in exchange for a festival pass
  • 28 hours for festival pass & meals.

WORK EXCHANGE

Our work exchangers are an integral part of making Joshua Tree Music Festival happen. We have work exchange opportunities before and during the event. You can choose to work in exchange for your festival ticket or festival ticket and meals. Other Work Exchanger perks include free day parking, discounted Campground Vehicle Passes and early entry, not to mention being part of our wonderful Work Exchange family!
