If Audre Lorde was a rapper, Breezy (they/them) might be considered the embodiment , because their hip hop takes on topics like racial identity, gender politics, sex positivity, and queerness. Breezy is a non-binary musician who uses digital and live recordings to weave out complex stories about queer life and social consciousness. Breezy’s first two projects, Tragic Mulatto EP ‘18 and MuLATTO MADness ‘19 explored reclaiming the historically derogatory term “mulatto” (having one Black and one white parent). Bratton’s recent soundtrack release Schwarzfahren ‘21, featured Black queer femme and nonbinary artists, DESIRE (Original Soundtrack zur WDR Hörspielserie).
